PHYLOSOPHY
His main philosophy is “Don’t get hit, and if you do, arrange it so it hurts as little as possible.” This was a major concern of his for the many kids he trained as amateur fighters. “Kids are my priority. Many trainers can coach, but few teach”. Coach Lopez puts his boxers through a rigorous workout that builds their stamina and tests their endurance. Because of this, and except for a disqualification as a loss, his top seven boxers are undefeated.
CLUB/GYM
LOPEZ BOXING CLUB
Lopez Boxing Club has been and continues to be a mainstay in Baytown, TX and the surrounding areas for over 40 years, training and teaching youth, not only in the ring, but outside the ring as well. These youth are very humble as well as respectful, and it shows. Their fortitude and commitment to better their skills is a testament to the knowledge and training Coach Lopez and his team instill in each protege, and a huge reason why the wait time to join the gym is exceptionally long.
